Mr Terry Lee
Principal Mining Engineer
Moriah Mining Consultants
Give a mate a break, please
10:50 AM - 11:10 AMBiography
Terry, a mining engineer, has been part of the mining industry for over 50 years. Operational experience in Australian and Canada; has worked in a consulting capacity for more than 35 years. In his later years, he has explored drill data associated with many prospects across the globe seeking to determine what the data is saying and how well it concurs with what is being reported. He is a strong advocate for the concept that transparency and competency go hand in hand especially when it comes to producing a realistic mineral resource; a real challenge for gold prospects.
Prof Mark Jessell
Professor
The University Of Western Australia
A geodynamic atlas for West African mineral systems
11:10 AM - 11:30 AMBiography
Mark Jessell is a Professor and Western Australian Fellow at the Centre for Exploration Targeting, School of Earth Sciences at The University of Western Australia. His scientific interests revolve around microstructure studies (the Elle platform), integration of geology and geophysics in 2 and 3D (the WA_In3D project), and the tectonics and metallogenesis of the West African and Amazonian Cratons (WAXI & SAXI). In 2013 he was awarded the Geological Society of Australia Hobbs Medal for major contributions in structural geology.
Mr Damian Connelly

Dr Nicolas Thebaud
Research Assistant Professor, Hammond and Nisbet Fellow
Centre for Exploration Targeting, School of Earth Sciences, University of Western Australia
Orogenic gold deposits in the Yilgarn craton: a review
11:50 AM - 12:10 PMBiography
Dr Thébaud completed his PhD in structural geology and geochemistry in 2006. Since then, Dr Thébaud has been expanding his skills and experience in mineral exploration; first as an exploration geologist and then as a research associate professor at the Centre for Exploration Targeting (CET) at the University of Western Australia (2007-2014). Dr Thébaud is currently the Hammond and Nisbet fellow at the Centre for Exploration Targeting (CET) where he conducts applied research focusing on tectonic processes, their petrological and geochemical impacts, and their control on the formation of ore deposits.
