Stefan Bräuner graduated in mechanical and process engineering from TU Darmstadt, Germany. After various positions in Outotec’s Roasting & Sulphuric Acid department including process engineering, leading of R&D activities as well as heading the department for several years, Stefan is now located in Outotec’s office in Perth as a regional Technical and Sales Director. In this role, he is supporting all technologies associated to the Metals & Chemical Processing Business Line (BL MCP) with a focus on Digitalization as well as greenfield and brownfield projects in Roasting and Sulphuric Acid.

Sandy Gray is co-founder and Technical Director of Gekko Systems, He is a Fellow of the AusIMM, and is responsible for the Technical, Sales as well as the Research and Development teams. He has a background in mine management and 40 years’ experience in mining and mineral processing operations.
A world leader in gravity gold and leaching flowsheet designs, pre-concentration, Sandy invented Gekko’s patented systems including the InLine Pressure Jig, InLine Leach Reactor, G-Rex Ion Exchange System and the Python Processing Plant. His inventions are global innovations with installations at mines in 43 different countries over the last twentyfive years.
Sandy is a recipient of the prestigious Clunies Ross Award, Australia’s pre-eminent award for scientists, technologists and innovators. Also he recently received the Futers Gold Medal from IOM3 in the UK. Other awards he has received include the AusIMM Mineral Operating Technique Award, twice, the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Inducted into the Mining Hall of Fame and the Victorian Premier’s Design Award in 2010 for the Python low height modular plant
Sandy is currently completing research and development into coarse liberation, fine crushing and energy reduction in processing.
He is a pilot, fisherman and farmer in his spare time!

Juha Timperi graduaded with masters degree from Helsinki University of Technology in 2001 with Process Automation as a major. After graduation he started working in mining company Outokumpu's technology division which later became Outotec. Responsibilities in Outotec:
