Engineering-CAS in 2006, and Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering from The University of Tokyo in 2009. He has served as a research associate at National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science
and Technology in Japan, a researcher at Shasteel Group, a research assistant professor at Kyoto University, a research fellow at The University of Texas at Austin, a visiting professor at Yonsei
University, and an assistant professor at The University of Tokyo. Xiao joined Westlake University in 2020. His research is focused on developing smart extraction technologies for pure chemical
elements through the utilization of molten salts.
Mr Seong-jin Kim
Phd Student
Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH)
Effect of mill-scale and calcined dolomite on high Al2O3 sinter and its reduction behavior
2:50 PM - 3:10 PMBiography
The author majored in the iron ore sintering process as a master's degree in an ironmaking research laboratory in GIFT in POSTECH, South Korea. The topic of research for Molten 2024 was conducted with a research project from POSCO. He is now doing a Ph.D. course in the same laboratory, focusing on research about hydrogen reduction of low-grade iron ore through a fluidized bed reactor.
