KEYNOTE | State of the art of the electroslag refining and challenges of ingot cleanness control
9:25 AM - 9:55 AMBiography
Dr. Prof. Lev Medovar was educated at Kyiv Polytechnical Institute. After graduating in 1979, he worked on many research projects for the National Academy of Science of Ukraine for more than 40 years as a scientist and head of department in the E.O.Paton Electric Welding Іnstitute. The major R&D interest is focused on high-quality steel ingots manufacturing due to refining and solidification control of modern steel and alloys using different methods, particularly at ESR. Prof. Medovar is the author and co-author of about 400 technical articles and owns about 50 patents in the various fields of metallurgy. Since 2022, he was invited to work in the research center of China First Heavy Industry Corporation as Chief Foreign Scientist.
