Biography
Anthony is the WA Mine Services Manager at Jennmar Australia with extensive experience in solving ground support challenges. Graduating from Camborne School of Mines as a geotechnical engineer, Anthony has spent the last ten years working on many challenging ground control projects throughout the world. Firstly in operational geotechnical engineering roles, then as a technical specialist in ground support. Anthony enjoys sharing knowledge, coaching, and mentoring whether this being through one of the Ground Control groups or coaching children sports.

Biography
Hao Zhai is a geotechnical engineer who completed both bachelor and PhD degrees from University of New South Wales. He started his industry adventure at Appin and Dendrobium, two underground coal mines at Southern Coalfield of NSW. At the moment, he is a geotechinical engineer at Cowal Gold Mine, NSW. In the research and practice career, he has developed proficiencies in rock mass downgrading, laboratory testing, statistical analysis and numerical simulations.

Alex is a mining engineer with over 16 years of experience in operational roles and as a consultant. His experience spans underground and open pit mining, with roles including geotechnical engineering, mine production and long term planning. He specialises in mining strategy and geotechnical engineering for underground mines, particularly caving operations, and deep and highly seismic mines.

Damian has broad mining experience over his 10-year career with exposure to underground and large scale open-pit mining, gold and base metal commodities in Western Australia and the East coast of Australia. He graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2011 with a Bachelor of Engineering (Geotechnical) and Masters in Business Administration.
During his career, Damian has gained a variety of geotechnical experience working for La Mancha Resources, Anglo Gold Ashanti and Panoramic Resources in various geotechnical roles in Australia and secondments overseas. Damian now works for Dynamic Geotechs providing technical expertise for a number of clients.

Emma Jones has 19 years of experience in geotechnical engineering with senior, principal and manager roles for large mining companies working in Open Pit and Underground operations located in Australia and internationally.
In 2012, Emma was a finalist in the Chamber of Minerals & Energy Women in Resources Awards for Outstanding Young Professional Women.
In 2013, she was a finalist in the Western Australia Telstra Business Awards, Young Business Women category and Private and Corporate Sector Award category.
Emma joined MineGeoTech in 2015 and has worked on multiple projects in Australia and internationally encompassing numerous geotechnical environments and commodities.

Ben has over 20 years of experience working as a Geotechnical Engineer for mining operations at projects around the world. Ben has specialised in geotechnical engineering for mining projects with both underground and open pit focus, mine closure assessments, civil geotechnical projects (including dams and heavy foundations), and tunnelling. These projects have covered conceptual studies, bankable feasibility studies, reviews, secondments, and ongoing project work at mine operations.
Ben leads the Neboro geotechnical team, assisting our engineers to deliver quality and timely project outcomes in a professional manner.

Dr Zach Agioutantis is the Mining Engineering Foundation Professor and Chair of the Department of Mining Engineering at the University of Kentucky. Prior to that he was a Professor and the Director of the Rock Mechanics Laboratory at the Technical University of Crete in Greece for over 25 years. He has authored and co-authored more than 80 peer-reviewed journal papers and more than 300 conference papers in subjects related to rock mechanics subsidence, applied and theoretical rock mechanics, soil mechanics and slope stability, computer applications in mining and geotechnical engineering, mining systems and mining systems simulation, etc.
