Biography

Patrycja Sheffield: Patrycja is a Organic Projects Manager at Centennial Coal Company Limited. Patrycja Sheffield is a Mining Engineer with over 10 years’ experience in the coal mining industry including holding roles of Geotechnical Engineer, Mining Engineer and Technical Services Manager. Patrycja has extensive experience in the field of mine planning, mine design, mine feasibility, mine scheduling and in geotechnical aspects of underground coal mines including development and implementation of strata management systems. Patrycja Sheffield is a member of AusIMM.Patrycja is ACARP Underground Strata Committee member, projects mentor and NSW Underground Geotechnical Society (NUGS) Executive Committee member.

Biography

Kepeng Hou is a professor/PhD Supervisor of Faculty of Land Resource Engineering of Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST), where he has been since 1991. He received a B.S. in Mining Engineering from KUST in 1988, and an M.S. from KUST. He received his Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Science and technology Beijing in 1998.His research interests span both ground control and slope treatment. The research projects that was leaded or participated in completing are more than 120. Professor Hou has published more than 80 academic theses and 100 high level research reports.

Author 1- Dr. G G Manekar working with MOIL since 1990. Obtained BE (Mining) from VRCE in the year 1986. Completed research on rock mechanics in VRCE. Obtained MBA from Exeter University, Exeter, UK in the year 1998. PhD in Business Management from RTM Nagpur University in the year 2016. worked as a Mine Manager in opencast and underground manganese mines of MOIL. Presently, head of planning and designing department and also R&D.Presented work in the World Mining Congress at Poland, Turkey, Canada and Brazil. Presented work at ARMA in Houston and Seattle in USA and at EUROCK'17 in Czech.
