Julie Rowland (JR) teaches structural, economic and geothermal geology. Her research focuses on the interation between magmatic, tectonic and hydrothermal systems, and she is particularly interested in controls on mineralisation in epithermal deposits. JR has worked on projects in Ethiopia, Antarctica, Chile, Montserrat and New Zealand. She is the current SEG Regional VP Australasia and is the Head of the School of Environment, University of Auckland.
