Regional crustal structure, fluid and metal transport pathways of Otago illuminated by geophysics

2:30 PM - 2:45 PM

Abstract

Biography

Phaedra is a Geodynamic modeller at GNS Science. Her interests lie in understanding geological processes especially those driven by collisional tectonics. She builds and runs three-dimensional numerical models to explore processes of mountain building. She uses the Southern Alps as a modern analogue to explain ancient mountain belts and associated mineral systems. She enjoys working with geologists and geophysics who ask why things have occurred, provide data to constrain her models as well as robust discussion to critique them.
