Multivariate data analysis and machine learning - towards robust geometallurgical domains: examples from the Pacific Rim

1:30 PM - 1:45 PM

Abstract

Biography

Dr Michael Gazley is Principal Geochemist at RSC based in Wellington, New Zealand, and is an expert in portable X-ray fluorescence (pXRF) technology in mining and exploration, and microcharacterisation, particularly SEM-based and XRF techniques. His consulting focus is use of multi-element geochemistry to measurably improve exploration and mining productivity while reducing costs. More recently he has examined ways to use machine learning and data analytics to enhance interpretation of geochemical datasets with projects in New Zealand, Eritrea, Australia and Mozambique.
