Colin has worked in exploration and mining for 3 decades since graduating from the University of Melbourne with a BSc. (Hons) majoring in geology and geophysics in 1987. Most of his career was spent with Newcrest Mining Limited where amongst other roles he was Chief Geologist for periods at Telfer (WA), Cadia (NSW) and Gosowong (Indonesia) mines before returning to Melbourne as General Manager Technical Services for the Newcrest Group in 2006. In 2008 Colin was appointed Executive General Manager Minerals responsible for global exploration, mining geology, resources and reserves governance and orebody knowledge. Colin left Newcrest in August 2015 and in January 2016 was appointed Chief Executive Officer of emerging Indonesian gold producer PT Merdeka Copper Gold, Tbk. Colin is the Immediate Past President of the AusIMM. Colin is also a Graduate of AICD and a graduate of Harvard Business School, Advanced Management Programme (AMP).

Mr Collins is a professional geologist with over twenty five years experience in the mining/exploration industry. He has held senior roles with companies such as North Limited, Anglogold Ashanti and more recently as China/Russia Exploration Manager and Chief Geologist for Eldorado Gold. In his capacity as Chief Geologist, he took an active role in developing mine geology models and in-mine exploration efforts in the company’s China operations. Mr Collins has experience in the North Asia exploration scene, having worked in the China/Mongolia/Russia region since 2004. Prior to this he worked in the industry throughout Australia, exploring for a wide range of base and precious metal deposits.

Paul Harper CEO Enthalpy, Chairman MMI, FAusIMM(CP), GAICD, Paul is a Mining Engineer with over 35 years’ experience and is currently CEO at Enthalpy Pty Ltd. His comprehensive global practical engineering experience has been a foundation block to become a strong and motivational leader in the resources industry across mine operations and construction, contracting, consulting and corporate arenas. He has fulfilled several senior roles including Global Head of Mining Anglo American, CEO AMC Consultants, Mining Practice Lead Advisor, Operations Manager Clough Engineering, Mining Manager at Northparkes and Renison Tin Mines, and Chief Mining Engineer at Mt Lyell Copper Mine.
