Josh Savit, Principal Advisor, joined Hexagon in April 2019. For the past 16 years, he has worked in the EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) arena, developing new methodologies and technologies for monitoring fatigue and operator safety, primarily in the mining industry. His efforts in behavioral-based safety methodologies along with fatigue education help labor-management communications, adoption of safety management systems that build the foundation for safety driven production.

Biography

Andrew has over 20 years of experience within the mining industry in Australia and Canada across multiple commodities. Commencing his career in Mount Isa Mines as a graduate mining engineer, he has progressed through the mining industry with an operational focus on improving the businesses within which he works. Andrew has gained a broad range of experience in mining method and equipment types from open pit mining to narrow vein gold mines to large open stope operations with both conventional diesel and Battery Electric fleets. Andrew is currently working at MMG Rosebery and is focused on integrating technology that improves the safety of the operation while uplifting productivity.
