Janine first joined the AusIMM in 1991, was admitted as a Fellow in 2009, elected to the AusIMM Board in 2013, served as President and Chair for 2019 and 2020 and remains on the Board as Immediate Past President for 2021. She is a non-executive Director role with Base Resources, an Australian-based, African-focused, mineral sands producer listed on the ASX in Australia and AIM in the UK. Janine has a Bachelor of Engineering (Metallurgy) and 30 years’ experience in the resources industry, encompassing executive management, consulting, technical and production roles, across base metals, uranium, precious metals and industrial minerals. Janine has served on the AusIMM Adelaide Branch Committee for the past 15 years, has Chaired the Policy and Advocacy, Nominations and Remuneration Committees, served on the Ethics Committee, convened the MetPlant Conference Series, the ESG/Social Responsibility Committee and the Global Mineral Professionals Alliance and its Global Action on Tailings initiative.
