Maroochy Barambah, of Turrbal-Gubbi Gubbi ancestry, was born on Cherbourg Aboriginal Reserve in Queensland. She is the Songwoman and Law-woman of the Turrbal Tribe.

Biography

Dave has around 28 years' experience in the minerals sector, in geotechnical engineering site-based positions with Newcrest Mining and Rio Tinto, and the last 18 years in senior consulting/leadership roles with GHD. In addition to Chairing the Mining Society committee in the past and serving on the Melbourne Branch Committee, Dave led a reinvigoration of the Darwin Branch and Chaired this until the end of 2013. Dave was first elected to the AusIMM Board in October 2015, and in April 2020 was elected AusIMM President for 2021. Dave has brought additional governance to the group in risk management and project management fundamentals. He has served on various Board committees and taskforces including the Audit and Risk Committee, the Nominations Committee and the Professional Accreditation Advisory Taskforce to review and revamp the Chartered Professional Program to be more contemporary, user-friendly and have greater oversight.

Biography

Greg is a global leader in the fields of project development, comminution and concentrator design and in his role as Chief Technical Officer at Ausenco, manages programs that underpin ingenious solutions for minerals processing. He has over 30 years’ experience in operation, engineering, design, study and project management, with industry leading knowledge of concentrator design, particularly comminution and flotation circuit design. He peer reviews major projects for efficient design, low cost options and potential for non-standard approaches. Greg is responsible for the management of Ausenco’s process technology knowledge including expert review of flow sheets, layouts, process model development, technical paper/presentation, study management and detailed design and construction. Greg is the author of more than 40 publications on different aspects of minerals processing and project development, and is a highly sought after technical expert and a world leader in cost effective plant design.
