Non-invasive Monitoring of Tailings Slurry Density in Transmission Pipeline Using the Electrical Resistance Tomography Method

4:00 PM - 4:10 PM

Abstract

Biography

Yue Xiong is a PhD candidate at the University of Queensland, specialising in risk assessment and engineering management. Under the supervision of Dr. Chenming, Dr. Thierry, and Prof. David, his research focuses on developing an electrical resistance tomography (ERT) method for reconstructing the density distribution of tailings slurry in transmission pipelines. This approach offers a promising alternative to conventional nuclear densitometers, significantly reducing radiation risks while ensuring accurate real-time monitoring.
