With just shy of 20 years' experience working in the coal industry, I am a highly proficient, dedicated and well-rounded Safety, Health, Compliance and Training professional with high levels of experience in Safety and Health Management Systems, Contractor Management, Workplace Investigations and Emergency Services ready to take on any new challenge. With a strong background in working in the mining industry, I have gained a robust understanding and appreciation of the systems, processes, policies and procedures throughout the mine, which is critical for one to excel in any position. Throughout my time and experience in the mining industry, I have developed a very high regard and passion for safety. Not only my personal safety but also the safety of my work mates and any other person that comes into my place of work. I am proud to say that I have a record of just under 7000 days lost time injury free – the same number of days I have worked in the industry. My coaching, mentoring and leadership skills have developed throughout my career, having held supervisory roles for the past 16 years. I have a strong desire to learn and prioritise learning within a business to enable a culture of zero repeats.
