The presenter, Dr. Sanghee Jeon, earned her Ph.D. in the field of Sustainable Resources Engineering from Hokkaido University, Japan in March 2019, and currently working as an assistant professor in Cooperative Program for Resources Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Hokkaido University, Japan. The major of the presenter is Mineral Processing and Resources Recycling, Hydrometallurgy and now focusing on the development of a recovery technique for gold ions from ammonium thiosulfate pregnant solution.

Abstract

Biography

Einstine M. Opiso is an Associate Professor of Civil Engineering. His research interests are in fields of geo-environmental engineering, engineering geology, environmental hydrogeology and geochemistry, environmental mineralogy and solid waste disposal engineering. Dr. Opiso received his BS in Civil Engineering (magna cum laude) from CMU while he acquired his MS in Environment Technology from Thammasat University, Thailand with a full scholarship. As a Monbukagakusho scholar, his doctorate degree in Solid Waste, Resources and Geo-environmental Engineering was completed at Hokkaido University, Japan and finished his post-doctorate studies in the same university as a BCDA research fellowship grantee. He is a recipient of various awards from CMU, PICE and DOST-PCIEERD. He has been associated with numerous research works and projects as principal investigator and co-principal investigator and is currently involved in an on-going research projects on mine waste valorization.

FarzadSotoudeh obtained his B.Sc. degree from University of Tehran and M.Sc. from Shahrood University of Technology. He is a skilled mining engineer with experience in open-pit and underground mine design, planning and optimization. He has been involved in several projects in the mining industry. Currently, He is a PhD candidate at school of mechanical and mining engineering of the University of Queensland.
