Zhang Dongsheng, born in March 1967, a professor and doctoral supervisor of China University of Mining and Technology, the National Talents Program, the Chief scientist of national 973 program, the National Expert with Remarkable Contributions, the Program for New Century Excellent Talents, the National Advanced Worker in Coal Education, the Jiangsu Youth Leading Talents in Science and Technology, Government Special Allowances for Distinguished Specialist. He took the position of the director of State Key Laboratory of Coal Resource and Safe Mining, the head of Graduate School, the fellow of the China Coal Society, the fellow of the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics & Engineering, the member of Society of Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME, USA), the member of Society of Mining Professors, the reviewer and editorial of numerous conferences and journals, etc. Areas of expertise: rock mechanics and coal mine ground control, groundwater conservation in coal mining and geotechnical impact assessment, mining method and effective mine design. Rewarded the second prize National Science & Technology Progress Award(two times), the first prize(five times) and the second prize(eight times) at provincial and ministerial level, etc. Publish 6 monographs and 95 peer-reviewed papers, among which 54 papers were cited by SCI/EI, and the domestic and international invention patents authorized is beyond 20.
