Hamed has been with Downer since 2015. In his current role as R&D sector lead, he looks after Pavements and Stabilisation section of Downer’s National Research and Development Laboratory. This lab works in close collaboration with Downer’s operational delivery teams and customers to deliver quality road network solutions and value-for-money outcomes. Hamed’s expertise includes maintenance and treatment of haul roads, pavement modelling and design, bituminous stabilisation and the use of unbound granular pavement materials.
Hamed holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, a Master of Science in Highway and Transportation Engineering and a PhD in the field of Pavement Materials. He has actively participated in publishing peer-reviewed articles.

Richard is a Western Australian born and raised Mining Engineer. He has spent time with the tier one majors, and now Manager of Projects with Mining Technicians Group Australia (MTGA). His role at MTGA sees him assisting those implementing autonomous technologies, including Autonomous Haulage Systems.

Oscar is a skilled geostatistician and researcher with over 18 years of combined experience in the Oil & Gas and Mining industries. His experience in the Mining industry comprises resource estimation and applications of multivariate conditional simulation and uniform conditioning, change of support and non-linear geostatistical techniques within a range of different commodities and mineralisation styles. Oscar has a strong theoretical background which combined with his vast working experience as consultant has allowed him to customise, develop and facilitate geostatistical training courses worldwide.

Jeff manages BMT's consulting group, leveraging his talented team of engineers and professional geologists to increase ore yield for our customers and provide significant value to their operations. Joining BMT in 2013, Jeff has worked closely with our customers across 6 continents. He holds Canadian bachelors and masters degrees in applied science, and has presented on blast movement at previous AusIMM conferences.

Eric graduated from Curtin University with a chemical engineering degree. He worked as a process engineer for Adelaide Brighton Cement for 3 years before he joint RioTinto. After joining Rio Tinto, Eric has been involved in process and plant design, orebody characterisation, beneficiation technology evaluation and product prediction.
