Abstract

Biography

Joel O'Dwyer is a Research Scientist for the CSIRO Mineral Resources Business Unit with over 15 year experience. Joel holds a Bachelor of Medical Radiation Physics and a PhD from the University of Wollongong. He specialises in developing on-line instrumentation for the minerals processing industry. His current research involves designing and implementing real-time mineralogical and elemental X-ray analysers for process stream slurry characterisation.

Biography

John Viega serves as Vice President, Global Sales at CiDRA. John has over 25 years’ experience in operations, finance, sales & marketing and service of leading edge imaging and sensing technologies in global markets. John also serves as President of CiDRA Oilsands. Inc. which is focused on providing services and products to the oil sands that enable increased production and efficiencies. John received a BA degree in Economics from the University of Connecticut, an M.B.A. from the University of Hartford, and has completed course work towards an M.S. in International Management at Rennsaeler Polytechnic Institute.

Biography

Richmond obtained his BSc (Mineral Engineering) and PhD (Minerals and Resources) degrees from the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), and the University of South Australia (UniSA), respectively. He previously worked as a teaching assistant in UMaT, and as a research associate in Process Innovations in Ghana.
