Dr Randolph Pax has undertaken research and development projects in a number of diverse industries including steel, sugar and aerospace before spending the last 21 years in mineral processing where he has led major projects including acoustic measurement of grinding mills, mineralogy and rock breakage. Prior to starting his own company in 2010 (RAP innovation and Development) he was a Principal Research Technologist with Mineral Technologies. His principal interests include instrumentation, control and dynamics and mathematical modelling applied to comminution, mineralogy and separation techniques.

Rodolfo has 40 years’ experience in the minerals industry in academic, technical and production roles. He is an expert in the development and optimisation of precious metals and complex base metals operations. He combines his specialist knowledge of mineral processing (characterisation, size by size and liberation, water and surface chemistry), technology and team work, along with six sigma skills, to analyse operations and develop solutions.
