Abstract

Biography

Co-presenters: Chris Casingena - Group Metallurgist and Manager - Mineral Processing at SGS (Perth) since April 2017, and manages the gold ore comminution, gravity separation and flotation test programmes, as well as mineralogical studies. Prior to this role Chris was the Metallurgy Laboratory Manager at Core Research (Brisbane) for approx. 10 years. Chad Czerny is the Manager - Gold Metallurgy at SGS (Perth) since June 2017, and oversees gold testwork with particular focus on whole ore and concentrate leaching using bacteria, atmospheric (heap and tank) and pressure oxidation.

Biography

Richmond K. Asamoah obtained his BSc (Mineral Engineering) and PhD (Minerals and Resources) degrees from the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), and the University of South Australia (UniSA), respectively. He previously worked as a teaching assistant in UMaT, and as a research associate in Process Innovations, Ghana. Richmond has developed profound experience in mineral processing and extractive metallurgy in tandem with colloid and interfacial science. He is currently a senior technical officer in the Future Industries Institute of the University of South Australia, providing edge cutting and specialised technical support to researchers and industry partners.
