Abstract

Biography

Richmond K. Asamoah obtained his BSc (Mineral Engineering) and PhD (Minerals and Resources) degrees from the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), and the University of South Australia (UniSA), respectively. He previously worked as a teaching assistant in UMaT, and as a research associate in Process Innovations, Ghana. Richmond has developed profound experience in mineral processing and extractive metallurgy in tandem with colloid and interfacial science. He is currently a senior technical officer in the Future Industries Institute of the University of South Australia, providing edge cutting and specialised technical support to researchers and industry partners.

Huy is a Mechanical Engineer graduating with Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Curtin University of Technology in 2002. Huy has over 10 years’ engineering and projects experience in mining and mineral processing. Huy’s experience extends across a wide variety skill sets including engineering and project management, plant improvements and optimizations, green and brown field projects from small to large scale and studies.

Biography

André van Coller is a specialist in water management with an MSc in Hydrogeology from the Institute for Groundwater Studies at the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein, South Africa with 10 years of experience in groundwater, surface water and geochemistry. He is currently the Divisional manager for Water Services at Digby Wells Environmental leading a team of geohydrologists, hydrologists, geologists and geochemists. Andre has project and research experience on various projects in countries that include South Africa, Lesotho Pakistan, Liberia, Mali, Malawi, Senegal, Ghana, Ivory Coast, DRC, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique, Sierra Leone and Burkina Faso.
