Energy portfolio versus sustainability of mining industry

1:40 PM - 2:00 PM

Abstract

Biography

After completing graduation in Petroleum and Mining Engineering in 2015 in his motherland, Bangladesh, Durjoy worked as a Safety Officer at country's only satellite ground station project. From May 2017, he has been pursuing MASc in Mining Engineering at the University of British Columbia and working as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant. His current research is scoping to the energy management of remote mining operations in Canada through the recovery of waste heat from power generation units to provide green heat to the remote mines and the communities. His published researches are mostly on Biodiesel, Stiriling Engine, Seasonal Thermal Energy Storage System and Carbon Sequestration.
