Steve Coughlan is the Executive Chairman of the Byrnecut Group, a private suite of companies headquartered in Perth, Western Australia. One of the original founders of Byrnecut, established in Kalgoorlie in 1987, Steve has overseen the growth of the group, which now has annual turnover of over $3 billion AUD.
The Byrnecut group operates globally and has developed a reputation for professionalism and reliability. The group employs over 6,500 people and operates a multimillion-dollar fleet of specialised underground mining equipment around the globe.

Emily-Jane (EJ) Schutte is a fourth-year Environmental Engineering / Earth Science student with a strong interest in environmental performance, mine closure, and the future of the resources sector. Alongside her studies, she has gained practical experience as an Undergraduate Engineer with Xenith Consulting, supporting environmental approvals, regulatory compliance, and environmental management across a range of mining projects. She also completed a vacation program with Yancoal's Stratford Coal Mine in the Environment & Community team, where she developed experience in environmental monitoring, compliance reporting, environmental management systems, and mine closure.
EJ is President of the AusIMM Hunter Student Chapter, leading initiatives that connect students with industry through technical events, mine and processing plant tours, and professional networking. She also serves on the AusIMM Hunter Region Branch Committee and as Secretary of WIMnet NSW, supporting leadership development and greater participation across the resources sector.
Passionate about bridging the gap between university and industry, EJ is committed to creating opportunities for students at a university without dedicated mining programs while promoting sustainable and responsible resource development. She hopes to build a career in mine closure and post-mining land use, facilitating the delivery of positive environmental and community outcomes throughout the mining lifecycle.

Andika Ramdhani Wilogo is a Mine Planning Engineer with experience in contractor operated open pit mining operations in Indonesia. His professional responsibilities include short, medium, and long term mine planning, production scheduling, pit and haul road design, production reconciliation, operational forecasting, and performance analysis.
Throughout his career, Andika has worked closely with operations, survey, grade control, and geotechnical teams to translate planning objectives into practical and achievable mining outcomes. His experience includes evaluating planning assumptions, analysing operational variability, conducting variance assessments, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing planning reliability and operational performance.
He is proficient in mine planning and scheduling software, including Surpac and Minesched, and has practical experience in integrating technical planning with operational execution. His professional interests focus on mine planning optimisation, production reconciliation, decision making under uncertainty, and the application of operational feedback to improve future planning outcomes.
As an Associate Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM), Andika is committed to continuous professional development and advancing practical approaches that strengthen the connection between mine planning, operational performance, and long term value creation.
