Career opportunities and best practice insight for post mining land use (PMLU)

11:00 AM - 1:00 PM

About

Planning for post-mining land use requires balancing technical, environmental, social and economic considerations.
This workshop explores the importance of early planning, collaboration and stakeholder engagement in creating lasting value for communities, regions and future land users.
Participants will hear from professionals across mining, METS (Mining Equipment, Technology and Services), research, regulation and community organisations, exploring career pathways and opportunities within the social and environment space.
Then, working through example site scenarios, participants will assess local conditions, evaluate future land use options and identify the factors that should guide decision-making. Workshop run in collaboration with CRC Time.
