Biography

Annaliese Eames is Chief Legal & External Affairs Officer at Australian Strategic Materials (ASX: ASM), where she leads legal, governance, external and corporate affairs and government engagement across the business. She plays a key role in helping shaping ASM’s strategic direction, including its mine-to-metals growth strategy and most recently on the proposed scheme of arrangement with Energy Fuels to build a globally significant, vertically integrated rare earths business. Annaliese brings nearly 20 years’ experience across legal, commercial and executive leadership roles in the resources sector. Her expertise spans complex project contracting, M&A, corporate strategy, capital markets processes and stakeholder engagement, including with government and export credit agencies. Prior to ASM, she was Managing Counsel at BHP, advising on major projects and whole-of-business commercial arrangements, and has held senior roles across the mining industry covering sustainability, procurement and commercial strategy.

Amandeep Gill is an Engagement Manager in Hatch Advisory, based in Brisbane, Australia, with over 18 years of experience across advisory, engineering, and project delivery roles in the resources, energy, infrastructure, and manufacturing sectors. He specialises in critical minerals, battery value chains, and energy transition related advisory, supporting government agencies, mining companies, and investors on strategy, technical due diligence, and operational transformation initiatives. Amandeep has led multidisciplinary teams delivering complex engagements across Australia and international markets, with experience spanning upstream resource development, midstream processing, and downstream industrial strategy. His recent work includes critical mineral supply chain analysis, battery ecosystem development, industrial policy advisory, and leadership capability programs for major mining operators. He brings a strong focus on aligning technical realities with commercial and policy objectives, enabling practical pathways for value creation and supply chain resilience. Prior to joining Hatch Advisory, Amandeep held senior roles in construction, engineering, and manufacturing, where he gained hands‑on experience in operations, capital project delivery, and product development. He holds qualifications in engineering and business administration and is known for his structured, outcomes‑driven approach to complex industrial and strategic challenges.

Biography

Darrin is an Environmental Scientist with over 25 years’ experience undertaking energy, resources and linear infrastructure projects throughout Australia and internationally that have developed his broad understanding of the sector with reference to ESG, approvals, corporate governance and compliance requirements including business cases, funding and feasibility assessments, due diligences, closure, re-purposing and rehabilitation along with project delivery models. As an energy, resources and infrastructure specialist, Darrin’s experience has been applied to all areas of industry, government and community; ultimately becoming a trusted advisor with extensive experience in critical minerals projects. Darrin has also been a trusted sustainability and project manager for several iconic resource’s projects throughout Australia and internationally with clients such as Rio Tinto, BHP, South32, FMG, Woodside, Chevron, and more. Darrin is currently assisting our critical minerals clients with their project development, supply chain and off take agreement needs and development and implementation of their corporate governance initiatives. Darrin has recently completed work on the Prospective Critical Minerals Hubs and Precincts project for DISR, the Critical Minerals Infrastructure Study for the NSW Government, as well as advice to the North West Minerals Province through to Townsville as well as Gladstone region Critical Minerals and renewables strategies.

Biography

Vlado Vivoda is a scholar and policy adviser specialising in critical minerals, energy security, and the geopolitics of industrial systems. He is Editor-in-Chief of Resources Policy (Elsevier). His work examines how resource endowments, supply chains, and industrial policy interact in an increasingly fragmented global landscape. Vlado has published widely on critical minerals governance, including the strategic role of rare earths, lithium, and other energy transition materials. His research focuses on system-level dynamics, with particular attention to processing bottlenecks, supply chain resilience, and the role of state coordination in shaping market outcomes. He has contributed to academic, policy, and industry discussions through peer-reviewed publications, advisory work, and international engagements. His recent work advances the concept of “system coherence” as a basis for understanding power and vulnerability in critical mineral supply chains, highlighting the shift from material-based competition toward control over integrated industrial systems.
