Rhonda O’Sullivan is a geoscientist with over 20 years of experience across exploration, resource development and mining. She has worked on world-class orebodies including Broken Hill base metals, Mount Isa Copper, Olympic Dam and Pilbara iron ore. Rhonda is currently Practice Lead Resource Knowledge in BHP’s Resource Centre of Excellence, where she works as part of a global team delivering enterprise-scale initiatives. She is passionate about the propagation of uncertainty through the mining value chain and bridging geoscience and mine planning disciplines to improve decision-making and close the loop back to resource characterisation. Rhonda holds a Bachelor of Science (Earth Science) with Honours from the University of Melbourne, as well as a Master of Mineral Economics and a Master of Business Administration from Curtin University.

Agung started his career with Freeport Indonesia in a number of positions including Chief Mine Engineer, before working in India with Vedanta Resources and then with Amec based in Vancouver. Agung is a Professional Engineer (Ontario) and Project Management Professional.

(1) Mario De Freitas Silva is Director of Mining and Geotechnical at Vale Base Metals. He is a global mining executive with deep expertise in mine planning, geotechnical engineering, and operational transformation. As Global Director of Mining, he leads strategic mine planning, mineral resource and reserves governance, geotechnical risk management, and value‑optimization initiatives across complex operations.
His career includes senior leadership roles in mine technical services, transformation, and operations, alongside prior consulting experience at McKinsey & Company. He also brings strong technical foundations from Deswik Mining and holds a master’s degree in mining engineering from McGill University.
(2) Jody Todd is the Head of Strategic Mine Planning within CTO - Mining & Geotechnical at Vale Base Metals, based in Toronto. In this role, Jody provides leadership and technical direction for long‑range mine planning initiatives, supporting complex mining operations through strategic evaluation, scenario analysis, and value‑focused decision‑making.
With a strong focus on aligning mine plans with business objectives, Jody works closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate technical, economic, and operational considerations into robust life‑of‑mine strategies. His work supports both brownfield and greenfield studies, with an emphasis on improving capital efficiency, cost transparency, and strategic optionality across global mining portfolios.
