Speaker
Ben Jupp
SRK Consulting
Workshop Presenter
9:00 AM - 5:00 PMBiography
Ben Jupp, BSc Hons (Geology), MAIG – Principal Consultant Ben has over 20 years of experience specialising in geology and 3D geological modelling. He has worked in several commodities within Australia and internationally, including structurally complex shear and vein hosted gold, iron ore, nickel sulfide, copper and sediment hosted copper-gold systems and lead-zinc systems. His experience is varied and includes multi-scale mineral and oil and gas prospectivity studies, mineral targeting studies, structural mapping and 3D geological modelling at both deposit and regional scales. Ben has strong technical knowledge inclusive of structural geology, geophysical and remote sensing analysis, seismic interpretation, structural mapping, geochemistry, GIS and geophysical modelling. Ben has expertise in several 3D modelling software packages, including GOCAD-SKUA™ and Leapfrog™.
Mark Rieuwers
Principal Consultant (Geology)

Workshop Presenter
9:00 AM - 5:00 PMBiography
Mark Rieuwers, PhD, BSc Hons (Geology), MAIG – Principal Consultant
Mark has 20+ years of experience in the mining and exploration industry with a track record of discovery and project delivery – predominantly in nickel sulfides and iron-oxide-copper-gold, gold, copper, iron, and lithium systems. Mark’s PhD work in the USA concentrated on the application and integration of structural geology, field mapping, metamorphic petrology and geochronology to help unravel complex tectonics. During his years in the industry, he has focused on integrating mineral systems’ geoscience, structural geology, geochemistry and geophysics in driving effective exploration targeting and generative strategies; and applying mapping, 3D geological and structural modelling to help understand and define complex mineral systems. Mark’s interests lie in combining field studies and desktop interpretations, prospectivity modelling and implicit 3D modelling along with applying such learnings to the mining environment, including on-site training in 3D modelling and applied structural geology. Mark has extensive experience in field program management including all aspects relating to large exploration and infill drilling programs.
