Christian is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Impress Solutions an industry leading safety services company for the international resources industry. Christian has over 25 years’ experience and has worked with organisations such as; BHP, Glencore, South 32, Peabody Energy, Anglo American, Teck Resources, Newcrest, Oceana Gold and Resources Safety and Health Queensland. Christian delivers his mission of saving lives at work by collaborating with organisations to implement simple, effective evidence-based practices.

Alex is a seasoned management consultant that has worked across a diverse array of high-risk industries in Europe, Asia, and Australia. His background spans petrochemical, manufacturing, transport, oil and gas, agriculture, utilities and mining sectors. He has led safety improvement initiatives across many key areas from serious injury prevention, leadership and governance, and workforce development. Alex holds a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours, Bachelor of Science, and an MBA from Monash University. His education and professional experience provide a unique perspective on safety and risk management. Warren has an extensive background in operations management, organisation development, HR management, leadership, and culture development, Warren is dedicated to enhancing safety performance across industries. Over the past 20 years, he has worked with both large and medium-sized enterprises, guiding them towards pragmatic safety performance improvements. Warren's expertise notably includes managing exposure to serious injuries and fatalities, leadership development, behaviour change, safety governance, systems alignment, and the exploration of human factors associated with error and reliability. His Bachelor of Arts degree provides a valuable social lens to workplace safety that informs a complete approach to risk management.

Anthony is the Director of Glasshouse Consulting and a trusted advisor on the design and delivery of operational risk and safety management practices to many tier one companies across a variety of high hazard industries. Anthony is widely regarded as a Thought Leader in the operationalising of fatality critical controls and a key contributor to the mining industries approach to preventing fatalities. He recently led the significant review and updating of the Critical Control Management Good Practice Guide for the ICMM. Prior to starting Glasshouse Consulting Anthony worked for Rio Tinto where he held several roles overseeing group programs relating to risk management, systems and assurance, including the design and deployment of their HSE Strategic Risk, Critical Risk Management and Process Safety Management programs. Prior to Rio Tinto, Anthony worked for Qest Consulting and GHD, and part of a team who leveraged their experience in working with oil, gas and chemical companies to help major mining companies gain a better understanding of their major hazards and shift their focus towards the effectiveness of risk controls. Anthony is passionate about ensuring the safety systems and leadership practices support the safe and efficient execution of work at the front line.

David Cliff is the Professor of Occupational Health and Safety in Mining at the Minerals Industry Safety and Health Centre, UQ and was Director of MISHC from 2011 to 2016. His primary role is providing education, applied research and consulting in health and safety in the mining and minerals processing industry. He has been at MISHC since 2001. Previously David was the Safety and Health Adviser to the Queensland Mining Council, and prior to that, 11 years at the SIMTARS in a range of roles. He has provided expert assistance in the areas of health and safety to the mining industry around the world for over thirty five years. He has undertaken research into respirable dust, fitness for duty, emergency preparedness, spontaneous combustion, fires and explosions. He has been involved in the investigation of more than 30 major incidents including, Moura No.2, Hazelwood Mine, and Pike River. He was a member of the organizing committee for the level one emergency exercises in Queensland underground coal mines since their inception in 1998 till 2022.

Iain is a mining engineer with over 45 years of practical mining experience, obtained in a diverse range of underground operations from narrow hand-held stoping mines to large mechanised panel cave mines. He has worked in South Africa with AngloVaal and DeBeers, and in Australia withWMC, North Ltd and Rio Tinto. He also seconded to Freeport Mc-Mo-Ran in the USA for the Grasberg and DMLZ block cave mines. His experience includes production operations (from shift-boss through to mine manager), management of development projects, technical positions and consulting roles. He has also performed technical reviews, safety audits and accident investigations. He left Rio Tinto in 2016 and had been consulting independently on underground mining, specializing in block and panel cave mines and projects. He has worked on over 40 block/panel caving mines, studies and projects. Iain has had many papers published on underground mining, covering various aspects including development, mine design and operation, as well as major hazards such as air-blast and mudrush.
