Mr. Dushendra Naidoo is the Head of Safety and Sustainable Development at the Minerals Council South Africa, with over 25 years of experience spanning mining research, manufacturing, engineering design, project delivery, and mine safety. His career includes leadership roles at the CSIR, Joy Mining Machinery, Thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions, Fermel, Bosch Projects, and the Minerals Council. He has led major engineering and safety initiatives, secured a design patent, and won industry innovation awards. A Professional Engineer registered with ECSA, he holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Development from GIBS.

Sean is a forensic engineer who investigates engineering failures from a technical and organisational perspective. In 2020, he completed the Brady Review, an investigation into the causes of fatalities in the Queensland mining industry. The review was tabled in parliament and made 11 recommendations to the regulator and mining companies on how to improve safety. In 2024, he completed the technical and organisational investigation into the catastrophic failure of a turbine generator at Callide C Power Station in Queensland, Australia. He also speaks, writes and podcasts on the causes of technical and organisational failure.

Dion Harrington is a senior investigations and integrity executive with more than 25 years' experience in complex, regulated organisations. Formerly Global Head of Investigations at Rio Tinto, he led a 23-person team across eight countries, accountable for matters reported through the company's whistleblower program. Dion believes investigations must be independent, evidence-led and fair, applying trauma-informed practice and procedural fairness, and giving decision-makers a clear basis for action. He brings commercial discipline and a practical understanding of operational and regulatory risk. He supports organisations with workplace conduct and integrity investigations, investigation governance and whistleblowing programs, particularly in resources and other complex businesses.

Becky Felstead is a workplace culture consultant and keynote speaker who partners with mining and resource organisations to strengthen the connection between frontline crews, leaders and executive teams. Her expertise lies in understanding people. Through thousands of conversations with operators, supervisors, leaders and executives, Becky helps organisations uncover the human factors that shape culture, communication, safety and performance. Rather than focusing on policies alone, she helps leaders better understand their people, and helps teams better understand the challenges of leadership.
