Biography

Isaac is a metallurgical professional with experience across gold, copper, and molybdenum operations in Central West New South Wales. After graduating from the University of New South Wales in 2020, he began his career as a Graduate Metallurgist in 2021 and has since progressed through a range of technical and leadership roles at Newmont's Cadia Operations. He was a finalist for the NSW Mining Young Achiever of the Year Award in 2022. Isaac enjoys the challenges of production-focused environments, combining technical problem-solving, operational excellence, and team leadership to drive improvements in safety and plant performance. He is known for his practical leadership style and collaborative approach to solving complex operational challenges.

Biography

Homie Thanasekaran (Thana-se’karan) Homie Thanasekaran is the Global Product Manager for StackCell® technology at Eriez, where he leads the global strategy, technical development, and commercial execution of high-intensity flotation solutions focused on fine particle recovery. Homie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Anna University (India, 2001) and a Master of Science from RMIT University (Melbourne, 2004). He began his career in 2006 with BHP Billiton at Olympic Dam, where he worked as a Project Metallurgist supporting flotation circuit optimisation and sulphide recovery improvement initiatives. Since joining Eriez in 2011, Homie has played a central role in developing and commissioning advanced flotation technologies across a broad range of applications. His work has included extensive field-based pilot test campaigns and full-scale equipment implementations globally. In recent years, his focus has sharpened toward improving fine particle flotation recovery, particularly in brownfield expansion projects and operations constrained by limited plant footprint or energy demands. Homie’s current leadership of the StackCell® product line combines process innovation with practical deployment strategies to help mining operations achieve higher separation efficiency, improved sustainability outcomes, and reduced capital intensity

Biography

Monique Erwee is a Chemical Engineer specialising in Advanced Process Control, process monitoring and diagnostics, and data-driven optimisation for mineral processing. She holds a BEng and MEng in Chemical Engineering from Stellenbosch University. Joining Stone Three in 2024 as a Process Service Engineer, she progressed to Metallurgical Engineer, developing monitoring tools for sensors and APC applications. Since October 2025, she has been part of the APC team, commissioning new systems and monitoring live client sites — collaborating across process, instrumentation, and operational teams to ensure control strategies are effectively implemented, driving plant stability and operational performance.

Matthew Stewart is the Director of the Beneficiation & Dewatering Solution Group for Metso in Asia Pacific, based in Perth, Western Australia. He leads a team of Product Solution Managers focused on helping customers unlock greater value from their operations through strategic upgrades, modernization initiatives, and high-performance spare and wear solutions. With over 15 years of experience across the minerals processing sector, Matthew has worked throughout Asia Pacific, North America, South America, and the Middle East, supporting customers across a broad range of commodities and applications. His expertise spans beneficiation, thickening, filtration, water recovery, and process optimization, supporting projects from early-stage studies and technology selection through to commissioning, operational improvement, and ongoing support. Matthew is passionate about developing the next generation of industry professionals, fostering high-performing teams, and creating opportunities for people to grow their technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and professional impact.
