Tony is an experienced engineer and executive, who worked in the resources sector for over 30 years, with over 25 professional years of expertise in the full life cycle of mineral processing, extraction, refine and complex chemical projects, from concepts development, test work, engineering design, construction, commissioning, ramp up to steady production operations. Tony is passionate about developing innovative and sustainable solutions for critical minerals and energy challenges and facilitating industry-academia collaboration and knowledge transfer.

Stephen Durkin is CEO of AusIMM, the peak body for professionals working in the resources sector.
Founded in 1893 and operating under Royal Charter, AusIMM represents 15,000 members all over the world.
Since being appointed CEO in 2017, AusIMM has embarked on a significant change program to be a more contemporary organisation with a stronger external focus. AusIMM now delivers an expanded range of professional development and plays a more influential role in upholding professional standards and shaping some of our most important industry conversations.
Stephen has extensive experience in association management, including five years as CEO of Engineers Australia and previously over 15 years experience at National Australia Bank in several executive roles.

Maptek CEO Eduardo Coloma began working for Maptek 25 years ago in sales and technical support services in South America. He then moved to Perth, Western Australia in 2012 as Sales Manager for the Western Australian region, Mine Planning Business Manager and Evolution Global Product Manager.
Eduardo has knowledge and experience in optimisation, mine design and scheduling especially for open pit metalliferous deposits. He holds a Civil, Industrial and Mining Engineering degree from the University of Antofagasta, Chile and completed an Executive MBA at Adolfo Ibáñez University in 2008.

Dr Penny Stewart is a mining engineer, Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technical Sciences and Engineering and founder and CEO of mining AI software company Petra Data Science. Penny worked on mine sites for five years in Tasmania and Western Australia before obtaining her Queensland 1st Class Mine Managers’ Certificate of Competency. She commenced PhD studies at UQ’s Julius Kruttschnitt Mineral Research Centre, where she received the Ian Morley prize for Best Minerals Engineering Postgraduate student. In 2009, she instigated the application of self-organising maps (neural networks) for the study of SLC recovery analysis. In June 2015, Penny founded PETRA to extract value from mining data. PETRA is a world-leading provider of machine learning and optimisation solutions to the global mining industry, including their flagship MAXTATM digital twin value chain optimisation suite. In 2016, PETRA collaborated with Newcrest Mining to develop and deploy some of the mining industry's first machine learning algorithms.
