A geologist with ~20 years’ experience, from exploration all the way through to production, mostly with junior or mid-tier companies. I'm passionate about trying to get the word out that the junior space is more than dust and drill rigs. The opportunities are limited by your imagination (& commodity price!). I would describe myself as an accidental geologist. After putting uni on hold and hitting the road to Kalgoorlie to earn some money for travelling, I took the only job going at the time (2003 gold price were$520oz) as a drillers offsider, which led me to be a field assistant which in turn introduced me to geology! I left Kal with a lot more than a travel fund, I made lifelong friendships and a career direction that I never knew was possible.
