Florian Neff, born in 1985 in Stuttgart, Germany, grew up in the southwestern region of Germany, specifically in Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate. He studied aerospace engineering at the University of Stuttgart, focusing on aerodynamics and aviation propulsion/turbo machinery. After earning his diploma, he joined TLT-Turbo GmbH in 2011. Since 2016, Florian has been responsible for the aerodynamics and acoustics division within the company's R&D department. In this role, he has gained extensive experience in aerodynamic performance measurements and acoustic testing of fans, dedicating himself to the development and optimization of aerodynamic and acoustic solutions to enhance product efficiency and performance. Florian is married and has two daughters. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer and cycling.

Jeff’s primary expertise is in all aspects of underground metalliferous mine ventilation. Areas of particular interest include ventilation modelling, mine heat load calculations and mine cooling, life of mine design and ventilation safety audits. He has worked in various disciplines within the mining framework comprising capital development and underground production mine design, production blast vibration monitoring, production planning and development scheduling. He has developed management framework and operating procedures regarding atmospheric contaminants and heat management.
In 2017 Jeff took on the role as the registered Ventilation Officer and currently holds the position of Senior Mine Ventilation Engineer overseeing the ventilation technician.
To date Jeff has delivered key milestone projects in the ventilation department including commissioning of two 2.0MW Surface Heavy duty mine axial fans, implementation of underground refrigeration systems, installation of booster fan systems and most recently installation of the Ventilation on Demand system at Fosterville Gold Mine.

Michael is a core-committee member of the IMVC 2024 event and has been an active committee member of the MVSA since 2014 where he also served as the President of the society for 5 years. Michael currently works for CPB Contractors as a Ventilation and Hygiene Compliance Engineering Manager for the tunnelling industry, based in Sydney. Michaels post-graduate studies include a Graduate Diploma in underground mine ventilation and a master’s degree in Mine Engineering from UNSW. Michael is passionate about the health and safety of all those working within the Construction, Mining industries, and associated environments. He is also an active supporter and contributor to many industry and legislative groups working towards further improvements that could benefit the mining and tunnelling industries.
