Jason Pont is a mining engineer with over 15 years experience in underground metal mines. This includes experience in sub-level caving and block caving as well as open stoping. Apart from ventilation he has worked in drill and blast, mine planning and geotechnical engineering. Jason has been employed by Howden Ventsim for the last two and a half years working in the ventilation and automation fields.

Daniel Gutiérrez Híjar is a mine ventilation engineer with over 14 years of experience in the mining industry. Holding a bachelor’s degree in mining engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, he specializes in designing and optimizing ventilation systems to ensure safety and efficiency in underground mines. Mr. Gutiérrez has led numerous high-profile projects, improving air quality and reducing operational costs in various mining operations worldwide. His expertise includes advanced airflow modelling, hazardous gas control, and energy-efficient ventilation solutions. Mr. Gutiérrez currently works as a Senior Ventilation Engineer for the Glencore Zinc Technical Services Department.
