Biography

Sarah Harrison has over 25 years’ experience specialising in work health and safety law. Her focus is assisting businesses and individuals to understand their responsibilities, learn from incidents and implement systems and processes to discharge their responsibilities in a sustainable manner. Sarah is a qualified Solicitor, ICAM team leader and lead safety auditor. Sarah is recognised in Doyle’s List for WHS law and in Best Lawyers as the 2018 WHS lawyer of the year for Western Australia. She has management experience as a director of Sarah Harrison Consulting and as a partner of a top-tier global law firm and an Australian law firm. Sarah works with supervisors and leaders on remote sites assisting them to understand and meet their WHS obligations in a practical way. Her experience includes acting on numerous high-profile incidents including Beaconsfield Goldmine Collapse, Montara Oil Spill, and the series of fatalities in BHP’s operations in the early 2000’s. She has also advised or investigated numerous mining and petroleum psychosocial incidents. Sarah is currently working with clients in relation to three fatal accidents in Western Australian mining operations regulated by the WHS Act 2020.

Naomi is a Registered Psychologist with over 15 years’ experience owning and operating a nation-wide employee assistance and fitness for work company. She has worked intimately within the mining and heavy industry sector assisting many blue-chip clients develop and implement strategic programs to improve employee wellbeing. Her experience has seen her work across all levels of organisations from developing strategic initiatives with executive leaders, to facilitating working groups, auditing internal processes and delivering frontline behaviour skills training. Naomi’s depth of experience in mental health, fatigue and drug and alcohol and the ability to operationalise complex constructs in a practical and simple form has seen her being recognised as an industry expert in the sector.

Danielle has over 20 years' experience in providing employers with advice on all aspects of the employment relationship including advising on, and conducting, workplace investigations. Danielle has worked for a range of clients across all sectors with a particular focus on the mining and resources sector. Danielle's focus is on partnering with clients to provide commercial, timely and accurate advice on complex employment matters including dealing with ill and injured employees and conducting investigations into major workplace incidents.
