Mine sites and exploration teams are constantly facing the challenges to ensure safe working conditions, and heat-related injury is one of their greatest concerns. Dehydration causes fatigue, physical weakness, slow reaction time and poor judgement, all of which negatively affect productivity. If not addressed in time, severe heat stress can lead to serious incident and even death. This seminar & panel discussion aim to provide an overview of heat stress management advice based on the AIOH Heat Stress Guide. The panellists will also include HSE managers from major mine sites to share site-specific heat stress management strategies.
