Darren’s WHSE experience spans >30 years across a wide section of industries including Mining, Manufacturing and Retail. He has worked as an HSE Manager and prior to that as Chief Geologist within the Mining sector in Australia, a consulting Manager in Victoria and is currently working as Health and Safety Manager with Ionic Rare Earths Ltd based in Melbourne.
As a geologist, Darren is proud to have been a member of the KCGM team that transformed open pit gold mining in Australia during the 1990’s.
As a WHS professional, Darren understands the WHS needs of both management and front line employees. He is a qualified Principal OHS auditor having audited around Australia and Internationally. Darren developed the 'SPEERO’ Safety model and is passionate about safety performance and the organisational, cultural and behavioural changes required to achieve sustainable safety performance improvement.
His goal is to help businesses make WHS improvement a consequence of being a great organisation.

Belinda is a chartered chemical/metallurgical engineer that has worked in several coal mining operations as well as oil and gas in both Queensland and New South Wales. With a keen interest in safety, Belinda transitioned to a risk consultant role with R4Risk, where she provides technical risk assessment and management advice to clients from a range of industries (e.g. chemical manufacturing, mining, oil and gas, transport, water treatment, etc).
She is passionate about spreading practical ways to improve risk management and is keen to share her knowledge and experience. Most recently she has presented at Loss Prevention Asia in Kuala Lumpur.

Ben is a risk specialist, systems thinker and teacher. Over the last 12 years he has worked in academia, engineering consulting, HSE and risk and compliance, across mining, infrastructure, healthcare and the education and industries. He currently focusses on risk management research at the Minerals Industry Safety and Health Centre (MISCH). His particular research interests are new frontiers of risk management, risk assessment in practice, modelling of accident scenarios and trying to engage with the complexity of socio-technical industrial systems.

Steve has lived and worked throughout the World and is passionate about helping people introduce disruptive technologies across the resources sector. More recently, he is a co-founder of an Australian software company that assists mining operations in the areas of Safety & Health and Competency Compliance.
