Biography

Libby has over 20 years experience in health and safety including the development and delivery health and safety management systems and risk management planning within aluminium smelting and uranium mining and consulting to coal seam gas contracting companies. She has lived across Australia including Gladstone (Qld), Jabiru (NT) and Parkes (NSW) and has tertiary qualifications in psychology, project management and health and safety. She is passionate about health and safety management systems including the effectiveness of competency frameworks and educating to improve health and psychosocial risk management.

Katrina has more than twenty years of experience in process safety and risk management consulting. Over this time, she has worked extensively with mining and minerals processing industry clients to identify, manage and reduce the risks for their operations and projects. Her experience covers a range of product groups including iron ore, zinc, aluminum, copper, diamonds and salt, and she has led successful risk workshops on six continents.

Biography

Mark’s strong operational background provides the foundation to understand an organisation’s needs and to develop programs unique to them that drive leadership cultural changes. Mark has worked with a diverse range of organisations, including the Royal Australian Airforce, Urban Utilities, ABB, SERCO, CBH Resources, Alinta, NSW Health, Rio Tinto, NZ Corrections, Sims Metals and Mitchell Services. With extensive experience in coaching and facilitation, Mark has a distinctive ability to communicate with all levels of an organisation and develop an understanding of how front-line work is completed. This allows Mark to guide an empowered workforce to develop practical, risk-based solutions. Mark is considered an expert in managing health and safety risk and workplace investigations, which commenced in his role as a Federal Agent in the Australian Federal Police, responsible for investigating organised crime and large-scale drug and fraud offences. Mark, an accomplished public speaker, has presented at Workplace Health and Safety Queensland workshops, Erik Hollnagel’s Safety II in Practice Workshop, AIHS Visions Conference, Safety In Action Conference, as well as presenting several webinars for MyOsh. Mark has also been a guest on podcasts for the Culture Radar and Samuel Goodman’s the HOP Nerd.

CRAIG HOFFMANN Craig Hoffmann is a Principal Consultant for the Digital Mine Technology group of Wabtec (Westinghouse Air Brake Technology) Corporation with a proud history of ‘moving and improving the world’ over the past 150 years as a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions and value-added services in the freight rail, transit, mining, industrial and marine industries. He is based in the Hunter Valley, NSW, Australia and has a background in Electronic Engineering with over 39 years experience in new product development for the Mining industry, which includes his previous Product Management role leading the development and supporting the global deployment of 3 generations of surface Proximity Detection and Collision Avoidance solutions for controlling vehicle interaction risk. In his current role as Principal Consultant, Craig is responsible for supporting a global commercial team in new product sales and business growth opportunities, supporting new product development and product support teams, driving customer success and providing thought leadership.
