Angie graduated from the University of South Africa with a Bachelor's degree and also obtained a Diploma in Law from the Legal Practitioners Admissions Board in Sydney, Australia

Criticality of raw materials; A clarification and redefinition of the term worldwide

Anvar Mammadli is PhD candidate at the Western Australia School of Mines of Curtin University. His research focuses on evaluating the criticality of minerals and metals worldwide. Anvar began his academic journey by earning a B.Sc. in Mining Engineering from Azerbaijan State University (formerly Academy) of Oil and Industry. He further honed his expertise by attaining an M.Sc. in Sustainable Remediation and Mining Management from Technical University Bergakademie in Freiberg, Germany.
During his master's program, Anvar conducted research on factors influencing the status of co- and by-products in polymetallic mining projects and developed a computational tool using multi-criteria decision analyses.
Apart from his academic pursuits, Anvar has over five years of experience in event organization and consulting, displaying his commitment to professional growth and entrepreneurial endeavours. Notably, he is the CEO and Founder of Horizon Education Agency, a successful initiative in Azerbaijan he takes immense pride in. He leverages this experience to provide strategic guidance and support to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Azerbaijan.

Between 2006 and 2014 he directed the Center for the Study of Copper and Mining (CESCO). Before that, he performed as Director of Studies of the Chilean Copper Commission (Cochilco). Mr. Guajardo also worked as an economist for the International Copper Studies Group.
He is also a member of the Copper Price Expert Committee convened annually by the Ministry of Finance to determine the parameters with which the Chilean national budget is built, the PDAC International Affairs Committee, as well as responsible for the organization of the Asia Copper Week, the largest global copper event in Asia and one of the largest in the world since 2012.
Mr. Guajardo holds a PhD in International Economics and Development from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain. He excelled as the best graduate in his undergraduate studies of Business and Economics at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, Chile. He also has a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Economics from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Diploma of the Advanced International Program of Mining and Environment from the University of Luleä, Sweden.

The critical minerals landscape: An analysis using patent data

Radhika is currently studying a Masters of Intellectual Property to become a registered patent attorney in Australia. She has been working at Griffith Hack for two years, where she has gained experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, primarily in the chemical engineering realm. Radhika completed a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering at the University of Sydney, where she went on to do her PhD in the field of mineral processing. Her research was on lithium extraction from hard-rock silicates, with a particular focus on spodumene. She then went on to work as a process engineer, where she specialised in mineral processing including both hydrometallurgical and pyrometallurgical processes.

Rohan Watts is a GHD Principal and leader for the West Australian mining market. He has deep experience in 24/7 operations management of alumina refining and smelting operations and major project development in the iron ore sector. He has also worked in lean-manufacturing consulting. In his current role of 8 years for global consulting firm, GHD, Rohan is focused on engagement with GHD’s existing and prospective mining clients, providing him with a broad view of the challenges and opportunities across the industry.
