Biography

Dr Cameron Perks, Principal Analyst, is responsible for lithium supply, demand and price forecasting, cost modelling, and is involved in strategic consulting services for clients that range from junior lithium explorers through to automakers. Prior to this Cameron was a consultant with mineral-sand specialists TZMI, completed a PhD in environmental engineering at RMIT in 2020, and worked as a geologist/geophysicist for the Geological Survey of NSW.

Biography

David is a consultant with extensive experience in strategic mine planning and also Professor (Practice), Resource Engineering, Monash University. He works in industry, and in research. His recent research outputs include innovative approaches to underground mine plan optimization; the open pit / underground transition problem and minerals criticality assessment. His recent and ongoing consulting activities include a long-term planning analysis and support for a major South American copper mine.

Biography

Colleen has worked and volunteered for the past 35 years in a number of multi-faceted, composite and challenging roles within the private, government and not-for-profit sectors delivering outstanding cutting-edge outcomes. Since 2013 she has been the CEO with Regional Development Australia Perth, having delivered a number of initiatives to drive new business investment and job growth for the Perth region. These include: "Driving Change: Perth and Peel an Economic Development Strategy and Infrastructure Priorities Plan" (2015); "Security and Defence in Western Australia: An Economic Perspective" (2017); "Lithium Valley: Building the Case for Energy Metals and Battery Manufacturing in WA" (2018), "Establishing the Perth DroneHub" (2019), "Enabling the Western Trade Coast: Creating WA’s World Class Industrial Destination, A Perspective from Industry" (2020) and "Perth Hills Strategic Visioning" (2020).

Patrick has over 20 years of institutional banking and commercial experience, originating and executing complex structured transactions across energy, resources, infrastructure, property and agriculture. Prior to founding Naust Capital, Patrick was Director and Sector Head of Resources & Western Australia at Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility, and previously, Director, Natural Resources at Westpac Institutional Bank. Patrick is a qualified CPA and holds an MBA from the University of Western Australia.

Toby Whincup is based in Perth, Western Australia and has been a sustainability consultant in the resources sector for 25 years. He is a Partner at ERM, a global sustainability advisory firm, where he is the Global Director for Critical Minerals. Toby advises mining and metals value chain clients on non-technical and ESG risks across the project life cycle and has worked across Australia, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and North America.
