Biography

Dr Grocott is an accomplished executive in the mining and mineral processing sector with nearly 40 years of international experience. Stephen was Chief Technical Development Officer at Clean TeQ Holdings Limited accountable for all technical and process development. He also supported technical marketing, due diligence and project funding for the A$2Billion Sunrise Ni-Co-Sc Project in NSW. Stephen’s exposure to EV and battery producers combined with his world-class expertise in process and development for minerals processing andbattery chemicals underpins the progress of the company.

Biography

Leeora is a pioneer veteran of the Australian sustainability sector. She now works with senior management teams and boards operating at the leading edge of the transition to a low-carbon global economy. She advises on strategy, social licence and ESG (environment, social & governance) impact and performance to help organisations realise their contribution to a just transition. Leeora is an independent director of the not-for-profit organisation, ResponsibleSteel™, the steel industry’s first global multi-stakeholder standard and certification initiative. Leeora wrote the first book to be published on the social licence, The Social License to Operate: Your Management Framework for Complex Times (Do Sustainability Shorts, 2013).

Biography

Frances has more than 25 years of experience in corporate affairs, marketing communications, sustainability and stakeholder engagement. She has been with BASF for over 13 years and held various corporate affairs positions in China and Germany before joining the Battery Metals Management responsible for marketing and advocacy. Prior to BASF, Frances worked in both the public and private sectors in HK SAR and China mainland across different industries such as business consulting, healthcare, FMCG, automotive and cultural exchange programs.

Biography

Phoebe is Country Director. Her role involves overseeing the consulting team at Minviro in the UK and Australia, which provides qualitative and quantitative cradle-to-cradle life cycle assessments (LCA) according to the ISO14040:2006, 14044:2006 and ISO 14067 standards for measuring the environmental impacts of critical metals. She is experienced in providing detailed LCA's for lithium, base metals, REE, and graphite commodities as well as Li-ion battery cell/pack manufacturing and recycling. She has prior experience in specializing in carbon capture and storage in situ serpentinisation and for mine tailings. She is recognised as one of the top 25 ESG Consultants of 2022, and has published academic articles and whitepapers on the raw material supply chain, with a specific focus on the production of anode-grade graphite. She was the lead moderator and conducted the Product Category Rules for Graphite, harmonising the LCA methodological approach for graphite LCA's.
