Cam is currently Head of Geoscience Excellence in BHP’s Resource Centre of Excellence.
Cam graduated with Honours in Geology and Energy and Fuel Science from Lakehead University, followed by a PhD in Geology from the University of Saskatchewan. He then enjoyed 10 years with SRK Consulting, becoming a Director of the Australasian practice. In 2005, Cam became the inaugural Director of the Centre for Exploration Targeting (CET) at the University of Western Australia. At CET Cam built and led a team of up to 90 staff and students focused on applied research with the minerals industry.
Cam joined BHP in 2016. As the Head of Geoscience Excellence, Cam leads a team of experts that works globally across all commodities to ensure thought leadership in geoscience across the entire value chain, from exploration and discovery to closure. He is also a Board member of AuScope, influencing federal support of geoscience infrastructure for Australia, and Regional Vice President for the Society for Geology Applied to Mineral Deposits (SGA).
Cam’s career has taken him to 43 countries on six continents, working in a wide variety of commodity systems from discovery through to production. He has trained >2500 geoscientists and remains an active mentor. In 2013, Cam received the Gibb-Maitland medal from the Geological Society of Australia for his contributions to WA geology and mineral exploration.

David First is Chief Geologist with Stratum AI providing the company with geoscientific leadership. David graduated from the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College, London and has over 35yrs of mineral exploration experience, primarily focused on the discovery of world-class Cu &/or Au deposits. His formative years were spent exploring throughout Papua New Guinea, before bringing his experience to bear within Australasia, SE Asia, China, central Europe etc. A highlight of David's career was being part of Billiton's exploration team that lead to the discovery of Prominent Hill, South Australia in 2001. He has held several senior technical and management roles for Freeport-McMoRan, Phelps Dodge, BHP Billiton, Billiton, and Gencor, primarily focused on greenfields generative exploration, as well as evaluation of several advanced projects.

Matthew has 30 years’ experience as a geologist in mining, resource estimation, and applied data analytics. He has broad experience in applied statistics, geostatistics and data wrangling, with his primary expertise in geology and mineral resource estimation. As an experienced data scientist, Matthew is highly skilled in extracting practical meaning and predictive relationships from complex and diverse multivariable data. Matthew’s work has supported geometallurgical studies and a diverse range of resource estimation and mining projects. Matthew has consulted on mines in Australia and overseas including Indonesia, South and North America, Russia, and Africa.

Kathleen Body has over 27 years experience in the mining industry, primarily in African mining projects.. She is a Director and Principal Consultant at Red Bush Geoservices, a geological consulting firm where she has been working since April 2016. She has previously work at Coffey (now TetratechCoffey) and Gold Fields.
She provides geological services to clients that include geological interpretations, modelling and estimation of Mineral Resources, design and monitoring of quality control systems, assistance with mineral exploration and beneficiation testwork programs, and review and advisory services. Kathleen has worked as a Competent/Qualified Person for reporting in most jurisdictions including SAMREC, JORC, NI43-101,US-SEC, and others. She has assembled a team of associates when necessary to assist clients with a full spectrum of review and advisory services across geology, all engineering studies, public reporting and preparation of regulatory reports.
She is also a Technical Trainer through Deka Dynamics where she has developed and delivered a series of courses on Mineral Resource Estimation, Public Reporting, Geological, and other topics for public courses or private courses tailored to the needs of corporate clients including Anglogold Ashanti and Metorex.

Olivier’s specialist training in applied mathematics and geostatistics from the Paris School of Mines is complemented by 26 years of experience as a practice-leading geo-statistician.
Olivier worked for five years as Technical Director of the QG Group (co-founder), five years as Technical Director of Tenzing Pty Ltd (co-founder) and for seven years with geostatistical software specialists Geovariances (including four as its CEO).
As a consultant, Olivier completed many consulting jobs for major mining companies in diverse locations and geological settings. Olivier has extensive experience in advanced geostatistical modelling: 2D methods, recoverable resource estimation (LMUC, MIK), conditional simulations and multivariate modelling. He has delivered numerous in-house and public training courses on these topics and specialises in staff mentoring on relevant applications of geostatistical techniques to mineral resource estimation.
Olivier has experience with a wide range of commodities which includes precious and base metals (including nickel laterite), mineral sands, diamonds, iron ore and coal deposits.

Roussos Dimitrakopoulos is a professor of the Department of Mining and Materials Engineering at McGill University. He holds a Canada Research Chair (Tier I) in Sustainable Mineral Resource Development and Optimization under Uncertainty, and is director of the COSMO - Stochastic Mine Planning Laboratory (http://cosmo.mcgill.ca/). Roussos holds a PhD from École Polytechnique de Montréal, and an MSc from the University of Alberta in Edmonton. He works on geostatistical simulation and stochastic optimization as well as artificial intelligence applications in mine planning and production scheduling, along with the simultaneous optimization of industrial mining complexes and mineral value chains under uncertainty. He has published extensively, maintaining large competitive grants from the National Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada and a long-standing partnership with AngloGold Ashanti, BHP, AngloAmerican/De Beers, IAMGOLD, Kinross Gold, Newmont and Vale (COSMO Consortium) who support this research. He has taught and worked in Australia, North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, South Africa and Japan.

Francky Fouedjio is Senior Data Scientist at Rio Tinto (Australia). Before joining Rio Tinto, he worked as Data Scientist at AngloGold Ashanti (Australia), and he occupied Research Scientist positions at Stanford Center for Earth Resources Forecasting (USA) and CSIRO Mineral Resources (Australia). Francky received a Ph.D. in Geostatistics from the Paris School of Mines (France) and subsequently completed his postdoctoral studies in Data Science, Geostatistics, and Uncertainty Quantification at Stanford University (USA). Francky's research interest focuses on developing and implementing advanced geostatistical, machine learning, and uncertainty quantification methods to solve complex problems within the mining industry. He is the primary author of more than 20 peer-reviewed scientific articles. He is a technical reviewer and advisory board member of reputable scientific journals. Francky has received prestigious awards, including the 'Andrei Borisovich Vistelius Research Award' by the International Association for Mathematical Geosciences (IAMG) for his significant contributions to research in Mathematical Geosciences.

Marlene Woligroski is the Global Geoscience Sales Director for Cyient, a leading multinational mining technology group. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Manitoba along with an Honours degree in Geology from the University of Western Australia, and has completed the post-graduate CFSG geostatistics training program through the Paris School of Mines. Marlene was the Asia-Pacific Manager for the Geovariances from 2019 to 2023 where she has worked with a wide range of businesses and individuals in the mining resource sector. She has a particular interest in the establishment of geostatistical studies at Australian universities as a long-term investment in the strength of our domestic mining industry.
