Ben Small is the Technical Services Superintendent at Glencore's CSA Mine

Ben joined Orica in 2020 after 14 years in the mining industry across Australia and Africa in owner-operator and mining contractor positions. As a Mining Engineer specialised in underground hard rock mining, Ben has held roles ranging from underground operations to technical engineering and Mine Management.

I am a Degree Qualified Mine Engineer with 10 years’ experience in Underground Mining with proven ability in short term scheduling, drill and blast design and all other key underground engineering roles (excluding vacation work in the mines). I currently work as a Senior Technical Consultant with Dyno Nobel working on several technical projects in the Western Australia region.

Rod Hermann, as National Sales Manager Epiroc, leads the Australian capital sales team to supply, support and deliver Epiroc products and services to the mining and construction industries. Epiroc is a a leading underground and surface mining OEM, specialising in surface and underground drilling equipment and Load Haul Dump in the underground arena. With increased focus on interoperability, automation and electrification, Epiroc is a leader in mining equipment and support services. Rod has a wealth of experience in the mining and equipment financing businesses within Epiroc over the past 15 years, throughout Asia Pacific and Australia.

Anne-Marie is an underground specialists in mine planning, ore reserves and technical reviews. A qualified mining engineer with a passion for optimization and improving the value of projects. Her knowledge extends from large ore bodies mining methods through to narrow vein selective mining methods. Anne-Marie enjoys the unique challenges that each project has and applying her knowledge to maximize the value of the project. Anne-Marie gives back to the industry through being a member of the AusIMM organizing committee for the Underground Operators Conference Series. Anne-Marie is a chartered professional member of the Australasia Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM).
