Carlito is an environmental geochemist with interests in sustainable mine waste management, prevention/control of acid mine/rock drainage (AMD/ARD), contaminant geochemistry, rock/soil-water interactions, geochemical & reactive transport modelling, environmental electrochemistry and remediation of contaminated sites. He has more than 10 years of experience working with the mining industry to find ways to limit the negative impacts of mine wastes and drainages on the environment.
Currently, he is the Lecturer of Mine Waste Management at UNSW Sydney and his research theme is on developing innovative ways to recover critical metals and valuable materials from tailings, mine drainage and E-wastes.

Kin Yu holds a bachelor and a doctorate degree in chemistry from Newcastle University in the United Kingdom. Prior to joining Cargill, Kin Yu has over twenty years of experience in the lubricants business, holding various technical and managerial positions related to product development, technical support and training, as well as product compliance and quality management. Kin Yu is married with one daughter, and during his leisure time he enjoys traveling, reading and hanging out with friends and family.

Muthia Ashifa is a health and safety practitioners with over 13 years experiences in coal-mining, oil and gas and mining services industry. Muthia graduated from University of Indonesia with bachelor degree in public health and master degree in occupational health and safety. Currently, she is working in Adaro Energy, an integrated energy producer in Indonesia as Department Head of Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Health (IHOH).
Muthia has been in managerial roles throughout her career and manage numerous projects; integration of HSE management system, International Finance Corporation (IFC) performance standard conformances standard, development of IHOH management system, coal-dust monitoring program, hearing conservation program and managing health risk assessment.
She holds advance industrial hygiene certification from Indonesian Ministry of Labor and Indonesian industrial hygiene certification association, and certified of chemical data management from RMT Australia. She’s been invited in international and national conferences on process safety, industrial hygiene, occupational health, critical control management and risk-based inspection.

Yannick Feldmann studied mining engineering at TU Delft, Aalto University Finland and RWTH Aachen University. He graduated from the triple degree program European Mining Course and started working as a research assistant at the Institute of Mineral Resources Engineering of RWTH Aachen University. Currently, he investigates the hydro-power potential of the Peruvian mining industry in the SmartH2OEnergy project, sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

Martin Schmid (Dr.-Ing., M.E., FAusIMM) is a mining engineer with more than 25 years of experience in multiple mining and mining related consulting and engineering projects. His background is heading consulting and engineering teams in a wide variety of projects worldwide. in RWE he is responsible for training of international professionals in all technical fields, like in conveyor-based continuous open cast mining and conventional power generation. Martin holds a Doctor title and a Master of Engineering in Mining Engineering from Technical University of Clausthal, Germany. He is Fellow Member of “The Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy” (FAusIMM).
