Key knowledge of vanadium ore processing Workshop

The vanadium processing workshop is designed to cover the demands and uses of vanadium, the geology and mineralogy of vanadium deposits, metallurgical testwork, beneficiation of vanadium ores, ferrovanadium and vanadium chemical production and knowledge of current major vanadium processing operations.

Rare Earth Elements Workshop

A sold out workshop at the 2023 Critical Minerals Conference. This workshop provides specific knowledge of rare earth processing. A wide range of aspects regarding rare earths are discussed, ranging from the uses of these elements through to the methods of mining, separating, converting, refining and purification. Ideal for mining personnel, project managers, senior mine and processing plant operating staff, engineers and researchers and no prerequisite knowledge is required.

Site tour to The Advanced Battery Facility

Thursday, 29 August 2024, 9am - 12:30pm

The Advanced Battery Facility is a pilot-scale facility for the fabrication and testing of battery active materials, cells and systems located at the Queensland University of Technology Banyo Pilot Plant Precinct. The ABF provides services for battery materials research, development and validation in standardised commercially representative cell formats, enabling value-add to Australian critical minerals and facilitating commercial translation of Australian innovation. Queensland University of Technology (QUT) reserve the right to refuse access to any party that the Company is concerned about having visit the site. Delegate’s contact details will be sent to QUT prior to the tour.

Lava Blue PRISM tours

Thursday, 29 August 2024 - Morning tour and afternoon tour.

PRiSM is a pilot-scale facility for the production and testing of battery grade materials located in QUT’s Redlands pilot plant precinct at Redlands. Lava Blue, working closely with QUT, has scaled up their ‘modified hydrochloric acid route’ for production of high purity alumina (HPA), to this unique demonstration scale batch facility. PRiSM has the capacity to produce as much as 100kg of HPA per week although the 20kg batch plant is not intended for commercial scale production. PRiSM allows the production of HPA for market samples and incorporation into battery cells at QUT’s Advanced Battery Facility in Banyo, while also retaining a significant degree of experimental capacity.

Lava Blue reserve the right to refuse access to any party that the Company is concerned about having visit the site. Delegate’s contact details will be sent to Lava Blue prior to the tour.

Invitation Letters

AusIMM will offer invitation letters to persons who have registered and paid the complete registration fee. The letter will provide proof of registration and proof of payment. Official acceptance and invitation letters may be obtained by contacting Event Management by email conference@ausimm.com. 

Invitation letters can only be requested once payment of registration has been received. Please note that when applying for your Visa you should include a copy of your registration confirmation.
